Dennis Grover NRA Instructor Certification

Dennis is certified to give instruction for NRA in Pistol Instruction

with the following learning objectives:

  • Gain confidence
  • Learn basic safe pistol handling
  • Learn stance, grip, trigger control, draw, and holstering
  • Practice shooting with instructor direction
  • Fill Idaho Concealed Weapons Permit requirements (optional)

This classroom portion of this training includes the following elements:

  1. self-defense principles
  2. safety training
  3. familiarity with your weapon
  4. shooting fundamentals
  5. ammunition considerations
  6. concealed carry
  7. maintenance

Rocky Mountain Defense Firearms Training’s live-fire training covers:

  1. shooting range safety, etiquette and range commands
  2. live-fire training focused on self-defense
  3. clearing firearm malfunctions
  4. shooting in a variety of conditions

Participants in this course should bring the following:

  • a handgun (any caliber)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition (factory loads only, no reloads)
  • a strong-side (dominant hand) belt holster worn on a sturdy belt
  • eye protection
  • hearing protection
  • a hat or visor with a brim

Please bring a lunch. It will take the entire time to cover the required elements.
